T.I.C. Restaurant Group president Mr.Yagi has been a long-time supporter of JASSI’s activities and he always cares for our senior members. This year, Mr. Yagi will donate Handcrafted Soba (Buckwheat) Noodle Sets (each set includes soba for 2, soba sauce, scallion, and wasabi) from one of his restaurants Sobaya to help our senior members celebrate the year-end. Also, Mr.Yagi himself will volunteer to deliver the noodle sets along with JASSI’s Board President, JASSI supporter, and JASSI volunteers.

We are hosting our 41st Anniversary Benefit Dinner at the New York Athletic Club on Thursday, October 27, 2022 to fund JASSI’s operation to provide social services to individuals and families in need. JASSI was established as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in 1981 by a group of community members who recognized a need for a bilingual agency to provide an array of social services to the community in the New York metropolitan area. With the mission of improving quality of life for people who face problems resulting from language barriers, cultural differences, and difference in services systems, we help more than 1,000 individuals per year while protecting the confidentiality of service users.

Additionally, in order for everyone in need including low-income individuals and families to receive our assistance, we provide all of our services free of charge in both English and Japanese. Thus, we are funded by government and foundation grants, corporate funds, donations from individuals, and proceeds from benefit dinners. Here is how you can help:

1. Please mark your calendar now and plan to attend the dinner on October 27th.

A ticket costs $385 per person. RSVP by September 30th. A reply card is attached here . Fill it out and send to info@jassi.org or mail to JASSI at 100 Gold St., L.L., New York, NY 10038 along with your check.
